Mike Mitchell sits behind the piano in the Tohatchi High School art room playing a few notes into a song as his piano recital came to an end on Valentine’s Day.

Beautiful melodies echoed off the walls of the Tohatchi High art room as 15-year-old pianist Mike Mitchell's fingers glided across the keys of a black piano during his first piano recital on Valentine's Day.

Mitchell's eyes never left the keys as he led people through a flawless set without the help of sheet music.

"I'm very pleased to have him performing. His want to perform is from him, it's nothing I initiated," said Sharon Swindler, art and music teacher. "He loves to perform. He does not have any aspirations to become famous. He just loves to perform for people who will enjoy him."
