Journalism Internships at the Navajo Times

The Navajo Times Publishing Company, Inc. is currently accepting applications from responsible, hard working college students for its 2008 Summer Internship Program at the main office in Window Rock, Ariz.

The Navajo Times is seeking college students who are studying journalism or communications, graphic arts and printing. Preference will be given to Navajo and Native American students but the program is open to all students who are serious about their education and future career choice.

These are full-time, paid internships that will run during the summer months of June, July and August. If interested, please submit the following:

1. Navajo Times employment application that can be found on the Times’ web site at: www.navajotimes.com (PDF, requires Adobe Reader.) or picked up at the Window Rock office.
2. A current, updated, detailed resume.
3. A letter of interest that explains why you want the internship, what you hope to learn and what you can provide to the Navajo Times.
4. Copies or samples of any articles, photographs, graphic artwork or examples of your writing, especially those that have been previously published.

The internship program does not include housing. All selected interns will be responsible for establishing their own housing arrangements. The Navajo Times will assist in locating available housing in the
Window Rock-Gallup areas.
