The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that a suspect was arrested Thursday morning in the murder of Sister Marguerite Bartz, a Roman Catholic nun.

Bartz was found murdered in her convent at St. Berard Parish in Navajo on Nov. 1. Law enforcement found the 2005 Honda CR-V on Monday that was in Bartz's possession near Fish Point, Ariz., Navajo Nation Police confirmed.

The FBI has not released any further information, however, spokesman Darrin Jones said he hoped to release more information Thursday afternoon.

Locally, during the investigation law enforcement was led back to Navajo based on interviews with community members in the Chinle area, said Apache County Deputy Sheriff Frank Bradley.

The sheriff's department helped with the arrest, which occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Bradley said.

Community members from Navajo reported seeing at least a dozen police vehicles speeding into Navajo early Thursday morning.
