Deputy Police Chief John Allen said the four incidents - all of which occurred within two hours of each other - were probably not related except for someone who was using a pellet gun to rob people at a Shell station and attempted to rob someone in the parking lot of the Fire Rock Navajo Casino.
The names of the two victims in a shooting on Dairy Drive have not been released. Two men have been arrested in connection with the shootings but their names have also not been released.
Allen was critical of what he called "false rumors" posted on Facebook and Twitter throughout the night exaggerating what was going on in Gallup and making people think that there was someone roaming the streets of Gallup shooting people at random.
