The release from Acting Director Frank White states Largie was placed on administrative leave with pay at a special school board meeting April 22.
Accordingly to the release, the action was "not deemed disciplinary action" and was taken to "evaluate all aspects of school operations."
The school's K-8 principal, Florinda Jackson, submitted her resignation
April 23, the release states. Jackson was hired by Largie after she fired Principal Patricia Gonnie -- a firing Gonnie is contesting.
