Next president candidates' forum at Navajo Tech

The next Navajo Nation Presidential Candidates Forum, sponsored by the Navajo Times and KTNN-KWRK, will be held Monday, July 21 at Navajo Technical University in Crownpoint, N.M.

This will be the third forum sponsored by the two media groups. The first one was in Shiprock and the second was held in Tuba City.

This particular forum will be carried live by KTNN-KWRK and will also be live-streamed by NTU staff and students. The URL for the live stream is:

The doors will open at 4 p.m. in Crownpoint and candidates for president are being allowed to set up a table and two chairs near the north entrance to the auditorium if they want to.

There will also be a meet and greet for the candidates and those who attend from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The actual forum will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and it will be broadcast live over KTNN.

The next forums after that will be held, Monday Aug. 4 in Oljato, Utah, at Monument Valley High School, and on August 19 in Window Rock.

The same time frames will be followed: 4 p.m. doors open; 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. meet and greet; and the forum from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

All 17 candidates running for president have been invited to attend the forums and all are expected to participate.
