Sarah Francis Gorman (Hasbah)

CHINLE — Funeral services for Sarah Francis Gorman (Hasbah), 91, of Cottonwood, Arizona, were held Nov. 5 at the Chinle Latter Day Saints Church with Romero Brown officiating. Interment followed at the family plot in Cottonwood.

Sarah was born Nov. 24, 1924, into the Tódich’ii’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan). She died Nov. 2, 2016, at the Flagstaff Medical Center.

Sarah was a master weaver, Many Farms High School Board member for 11 successful years and a Chinle District Diné culture teacher in elementary. She loved to travel and attended Navajo Community College for four years. She was also a nurse’s aide in 1942 at the Sage Memorial Hospital in Ganado.

Sarah is survived by her children, Vee F. Browne-Yellowhair, Romero Tully Brown, Julie Browne, Alfred Baily Gorman, Sadie John, and Louise Burbank; siblings, Darlene Peterson of Steamboat, Ariz., Chester B. Gorman, Thomas Francis of Chinle, and Rose F. Begay of Chinle; step-siblings, Louise Tsosie, Mae Tsosie, Eleanor Tsosie, Francis Tsosie Jr., and Lucy Tsosie; and over 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Denet’ Tsosy Jr. and Kinnibah (Nanasbah) Chischilli; William T. Brown Jr. and Gary F. Brown; siblings, Ben Francis, George Francis, Annie Venegas, Mae Gorman, and Lona Francis; step-brothers, Robertson Tsosie and Kenneth Tsosie; and grandmother, Nasbah Chischilli.

Silver Creek Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Enrico

CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for Raymond Enrico, 33, were held Nov. 9 at Hosanna Pentacostal Church in Crownpoint. Interment followed at the family plot in Littlewater, New Mexico.

Raymond was born Jan. 24, 1983, in Crownpoint, into the Tl’ááshchi’i (Red Bottom People Clan), born for Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). His nali is Tó’áhani (Near the Water); chei is Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People). He died Nov. 6, 2016, in Crownpoint.

Raymond was employed with Red Rock Security, firefighter with District 9-Crownpoint and Crownpoint Police Department. He enjoyed mud-bogging, outdoor activities, cooking out, and spending time with family.

Raymond is survived by his father, Peterson Enrico; mother, Bessie Enrico; sisters, Lethia Enrico, Marilisa Lewis, and Sophina Enrico; and brothers, Patterson Enrico and Carlton Enrico.

Pallbearers were Tracy Enrico, Ray Enrico, Trevino Enrico, Shawn Lewis, Lonnie Harlan, LouAndrew Chavez, Erick Cadman, and Lathan Robertson.

Rollie Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
