Leo Glen Willie

GALLUP — Funeral services for Leo Glen Willie, 78, were held Nov. 20 at The Door Gallup Christian Center. Interment followed at the Gallup City Cemetery.

Leo was born April 11, 1937, in Two Wells, N.M., into the Tsenabahilnii (Sleep Rock People Clan), born for Tábaahá (Water’s Edge Clan). He died Nov. 16, 2015, in Gallup.

Leo attended Intermountain School in Utah and worked 38 years with Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed rodeos, John Wayne movies and being outdoors.

Leo is survived by his wife, Helen Plummer-Willie; daughter, Judy James; brothers, Gilbert Adeky, Robert Adeky, Phillip Adeky, Glenn Adeky Jr., and Wilbert Willie; and sisters, Marlene Nez, Glassie Adeky and Marion Smith.

Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Sr. and Irene Adeky; and brother, Frank Willie.

Pallbearers were Spencer Willie, Jermaine James, Adrian Tsosie, Nicholes Benally, Mark Franklin Jr., and Pedro John.

Rollie Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
