Chinle Wildcats head football coach Tim Su’e Su’e Liufau believes the Arizona Class 3A North Region will be compatible this year.

The 3A North Region consists of Monument Valley Mustangs, Page Sand Devils, Window Rock Scouts, Tuba City Warriors, Ganado Hornets and Chinle.

“There’s a lot of new coach staff in our region,” said Su’e Su’e Liufau, who is entering his eighth year as Chinle’s head football coach. “Some programs are rebuilding this year. The teams to look out for are Monument Valley, Page, Window Rock and us.”

The Wildcats have three returning players from last year’s team.

The returnees are senior center/defensive tackle Nate Wagner, sophomore wide receiver/cornerback Cooper Burbank and senior quarterback/free safety Antwan Gray.

Su’e Su’e Liufau said the Wildcats’ team goals are to compete, execute and finish strong.

“Our team expectation is to stay healthy,” he said. “Our team strength will be team unity.”
