Tuba City, Window Rock knock out top seeds at sectionals

It was perfectly reasonable to expect both the Page and Many Farms girls basketball teams to meet in Saturday's sectional finals.

After all they were the sections top seeds as they went a combined 16-2 in league play with the Lady Sand Devils owning a perfect 9-0 record.

But in Tuesday's opening round match at the Wildcat Den in Chinle, both teams were bounced from the sectional tournament and will have to wait until Sunday to see where they fit in when the Arizona Interscholastic Association releases the state tournament bracket.
