Shiprock track & field teams are on track

At their home quads meet held on April 4, the Lady Chieftains placed first with 157.5 points and the boys' team placed second with 109.3.
“I think we are right on track right now,” said Shiprock girls head coach Alice Kinlichee.
“The teams are really coming together.” The Lady Chieftains came in just ahead of Kirtland Central, who placed second with 141.5 points.
Navajo Prep came in third with 42 points and Red Mesa had 25.
For the boys, Kirtland Central led with 153.5 points with Shiprock in second. Navajo Prep placed third with 67, Red Mesa had 35 and Red Valley-Cove had 18.3.
