Diné Nation rolls over Gallup to qualify for state

Utilizing strong pitching and potent bats, the Diné Nation All-Stars captured the District 10 Senior Little League baseball championship on Tuesday evening in Fort Defiance.

Diné Nation, made up of players from Chinle White Sox, Window Rock Cardinals and Window Rock Royals, swept the Gallup Nationals in a best of three series. Diné Nation won the series opener on Monday night, 24-2, in five innings. They completed the sweep with a 28-1 five-inning victory on Tuesday.

Diné Nation advances to the New Mexico state tournament in Albuquerque and will play an opening round game on July 19.
