As a Navajo educator for many years in government (BIA/BIE), public, state charter, and tribally controlled grant schools, I am concerned that majority of our Navajo students are as high as 95 percent-plus non-proficient in English Language Arts and mathematics.

How is it that these lawmakers failed to address one of the most critical issues of our Nation without one word of discussion?

In 2013, the Navajo Generating Station owners and the Navajo Nation agreed to extend the lease to year 2044 and the agreement was not signed by the plant manager at Salt River Project.

Tina pointed us to a red-tail hawk flying overhead, soaring higher and higher into Father Sky. Then a few minutes later, we saw a jet stream and noticed the plane flying where the hawk flew. Later, a big cloud appeared in the image of an eagle with its wings fully spread out.

The board is hopeful that this information resolves some of the confusion surrounding the issues raised by our predecessors.
