Sports Writer

Position needs to be filled as soon as possible with a hard working person who is reliable, responsible and honest.

This full-time position includes great employee benefits and is based at the Navajo Times central office in Window Rock. A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field plus two years experience of sports writing for a newspaper is preferred.

Salary is negotiable.

The Navajo Times is looking for freelance correspondents to cover sports on and off the reservation. Pay is negotiable based on experience and level of skill. Also based on length of stories or number of stories submitted each week. Open to anyone who has an interest in sports and writing. Page Designer/ Graphic Designer

The Navajo Times Publishing Company, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full-time Page Designer/ Graphic Designer to work with the Navajo Times newspaper.

The Navajo Times is seeking an experienced, educated and energetic person to fill this position. Primary responsibility is to design and layout pages for the Navajo Times as well as other publications. Advanced computer skills and knowledge and experience of the pagination process is required. Applicants must be honest, hard working, capable of working with other staff, and able to understand and carryout written and verbal instruction.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, graphic design or related field is required and two years related job experience working in a fast-paced, odd-hour, deadline pressured environment is desirable.
