Contestants for the Miss Ramah Navajo Queen and Princess titles gathered at the Ramah fairgrounds on Saturday evening for the announcement of new royalty.
Prior to Saturday, the contestants participated in a variety of events for this year's fair. A health walk kicked off the festivities on Thursday morning, followed by a fashion show that evening.
Friday evening events were a modern speech and talent show and 2013-2014 Miss Ramah Navajo Queen Nickaela Poblano hosted a country & western dance. Contestants were judged on their presentation, skills and proficiency with Navajo culture and language and their photogenic talent.
