Mysteries surround Sage diabetes program

Last fall, five former employees of Sage Memorial Hospital came forward with charges of gross financial mismanagement at the tiny Ganado hospital since it was taken over in 2007 by CEO Ahmad Razaghi and run as an independent federally funded hospital under Public Law 93-638.

Among the allegations by a former director of the hospital's diabetes program was that there was no diabetes program when he took it over in 2010, in spite of the fact that the hospital had been receiving a grant of around $250,000 every year since 2005 to fund it.

Four years later, have things changed?
