An internal dispute within the Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company has resulted in a series of changes in who is running the enterprise and the termination and resignation of several key personnel.

The Navajo Nation Supreme Court has also gotten involved and current management of the enterprise has filed a petition with the Window Rock District Court asking for a temporary restraining order to prevent Robert Joe, a former CEO of the enterprise, from having anything to do with the company and representing himself as the company's CEO.

There have also been papers filed with the Window Rock court claiming the chaos within the enterprise has caused banks that loaned money to the enterprise to call in some of the loans.

At the basis of this dispute is a question that has been in contention since last December: Exactly who are members of the enterprise's board of directors?
