DCAA 'shocked' with Shelly's veto of junk food tax bills

By press time late Wednesday, Shelly's special advisor, Deswood Tome, confirmed to the Navajo Times that Shelly vetoed the two-percent sales tax bill on junk food.
This bill is known as the Healthy Diné Act of 2013, and is highly supported by the Diné Community Advocacy Alliance (DCAA) group's effort to combat diabetes, obesity and encourage a healthy lifestyle among Navajo citizens.
