When it comes to district wrestling it all comes down to seeing where one fits in at the state meet.

The Bloomfield Bobcats found that they are at the top when it comes to wrestling in 3A Districts 1-5. The Bobcats took first place in the district-wrestling meet held at Shiprock High on Feb. 14 and qualified all 14 of its wrestlers for the state meet to be held in Albuquerque this weekend.

Bloomfield head coach Greg Shoemaker said his team couldn't have picked a better time to show off the hard work they put in this season.

"I'm just real pleased with how we're starting to put it all together and peaking about the right time," he said. "We wanted to come in and do real well."
