When Shannon Saltclah is busy making or prescribing drugs for patient use, she occasionally finds herself in awe.
Mostly since she's among the five Navajo pharmacists at Tsehootsoi Medical Center treating patients for their ailments, a personal pledge they collectively took on their pharmaceutical path.
"This is cool," Saltclah says, while observing the demographics of the pharmacy laboratory, which includes 23 pharmacists and nine technicians.
In addition to Saltclah, the Navajo pharmacists at TMC also include Barbara Sorrell, Edlin Bain, Cassandra Boyd, and Aaron Clark.
