50 percent of Council delegate candidates are new

WINDOW ROCK, Aug. 28, 2014

At least half of the members of the Navajo Nation Council will be new next year as 12 of the current members will be running in the general election.

Jonathan Nez, who represents Navajo Mountain and nearby chapters, and Alton Shepherd, who represents Jeddito and nearby chapters, are assured of being back next year since they will be running unopposed in the general election.
