KAYENTA – Best Friends Animal Society and Kayenta Township have partnered to expand veterinary services in the community through a one-year animal welfare pilot program.
Under an agreement signed Dec. 8, 2025, the Kanab, Utah-based animal welfare organization will provide monthly spay and neuter clinics, vaccination services and training for local animal control staff at no cost to the township.
Kayenta Town Manager Jarvis Williams said the partnership addresses a critical need.
“The agreement is a benefit for the community,” Williams said. “It’s an opportunity for residents to have their animals spayed and neutered at an affordable cost, and it’s a step toward making the community healthier.”
