NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR THE N8095 NAZLINI WASH BRIDGE RELOCATION PROJECT
The Navajo Nation Division of Transportation (NDOT) is proposing a new bridge to be constructed to cross Nazlini Wash approximately 2 miles north of Chinle, Arizona along Navajo Route 8095 (N8095). An alternative location, approximately 0.9 miles south of N8095 is also being proposed. Both proposed crossing locations are between US Highway 191 and Navajo Route 8171. Without a bridge, these segments of road can be impassable in storm events when Nazlini Wash flows over N8095.
NDOT is holding a public hearing to present information on the project to local residents and other interested members of the public, and to gather public feedback on the project’s alternatives. Written comments will be accepted at the public hearing. The Ramah Navajo Chapter, Office of Grants & Contracts-Ramah Navajo Department of Transportation (RNC ‘638) is soliciting to receive Statement of Qualifications from responsive, responsible and qualified sole proprietors or firms with expertise in managing a road construction projects funded by various funding agencies.
The ideal CM/GM must have extensive knowledge and experience working with U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Bureau of Indian Affairs, State of New Mexico and Navajo Nation laws and regulations, as it pertains to road construction. In addition, the CM/GM must have extensive experienced with the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity Program (RAISE) grant implementation and reporting requirements.
Responsive Statement of Qualifications received from Interested Party will be evaluated according to the RSQ requirements and criteria. RNC ‘638 will negotiate cost proposals/fees with the most qualified sole proprietor or firm.
