Passion Meets Precision symphony

FARMINGTON – The San Juan Symphony presents “Passion Meets Precision” on Sunday, April 6, at the San Juan College, Henderson Fine Arts Hall, at 3 p.m. Twentieth century musical expression became a highly personal vernacular. Julia Perry wrote music that echoes Stravinsky. The Hungarian born Bartok uses folk melodies as his basis, and the sound of Prokofiev seems both radical and completely natural.
