Cedric Jaye Lewis

Funeral services for Cedric Jaye Lewis, 44, will be held Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m. at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. Burial will follow at the family plot at Rio Lobo Canyon Pipeline Road.

Cedric was born Oct. 13, 1972, in Crownpoint, into the Tábaahá (Waterós Edge Clan), born for Haltsooi (Meadow People Clan). His nali is Deeshchiiónii (Start of the Red Streak People); chei is Tlóááshchiói (Red Bottom People). He died April 23, 2017, in Albuquerque.
Cedric attended Standing Rock Boarding School, Crownpoint Boarding School, and Wingate High School.

Cedric is survived by his son, Cash Jaye Lewis; brother, Shawn J. Lewis of Tuba City; sister, Madeline L. Charleston of Pinedale, N.M.; and mother, Mabel S. Lewis of Sheepsprings, N.M.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Harry J. Sandoval Sr.

TOóHAJIILEE, N.M.

Funeral services for Harry J. Sandoval Sr., 74, of Toóhajiilee, N.M., will be held today, April 27, at 10 a.m. at the Canoncito Pentecostal Church in Toóhajiilee, with Murphy Platero officiating. Burial will follow at the family plot on J.S. Ranch.

Harry was born March 12, 1943, in Toóhajiilee, into the Kiyaaóaanii (Towering House Clan), born for Tábaahá (Waterós Edge Clan). He died April 17, 2017, in Toóhajiilee.

Harry completed the third grade but had a degree in every field. He was a welder, carpenter, farmer, mechanic, silversmith, heavy equipment operator, and rancher. He enjoyed family time, team roping and calf roping in rodeos, being outdoors, and playing with his grandchildren.

Harry is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sandoval; sons, Carlos Sandoval, Darrell Sandoval Sr., Harry Sandoval Jr., and Harold Sandoval; daughters, Mary Jane Sandoval, Carol Sandoval, Diane Sandoval, and Priscilla Sandoval; parents, Elise and Charlie Jesus Sandoval; sisters, Winnie Apache, Orlene Delgarito, and Marie Secatero; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Harry is preceded in death by his sister, Christine Mexicano.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Sandoval Sr., Cody Sandoval, Ivan Delgarito, Nick Kramer, Earl Francisco, Johnathan James, Josh Platero, and Darran White.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Sandoval Sr., Harry Sandoval Jr., Harold Sandoval, Darrell Sandoval Jr., Damien Sandoval, Cody Sandoval, and Tyrell Sandoval.
A reception will take place at the J.S. Ranch, located at the Sandovalós residence.

Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
