Edison Cayatineto
CROWNPOINT – Funeral services for Edison Cayatineto, 55, were held April 6 at the Hosanna Pentecostal Church in Crownpoint. Interment followed at the family plot.
Edison was born Sept. 4, 1960, into the Tábaahá (Water’s Edge Clan), born for Kiyaa’aanii (Towering House Clan). His nali is Tó’aheedliinii (Water Flow Together); chei is Naakai dine’é (Mexican). He died April 1, 2016, in Crownpoint.
Edison was a lifetime resident of Crownpoint. He attended Crownpoint High School and Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque. He worked for a pipeline company for a short time. He was a very smart man, independent mechanic, and rancher. He had a sense of humor, loved to cook, and spend time with his family.
Edison is survived by his companion, Corrine Capitan; sisters, Helen R. Cayatineto, Bessie R. Jimson, Anne James, Juanita Cayatineto, Lynda Delgarito, and Alice Platero; and brother, Harry Cayatineto.
Edison is preceded in death by his father, William Cayatineto Sr.; mother, Irene M. Cayatineto; and brothers, Harvey Cayatineto Sr., James B. Cayatineto Sr., William Cayatineto Jr., Chester Cayatineto, Mike Cayatineto, and Henry Cayatineto.
Pallbearers were Jason Delgarito, Gerald Jimson, Darrell Jimson, Larrison Cayatineto, Anson Chee, and Alvin Jones Cayatineto.
Rollie Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Elizabeth Rose Hoskie
GALLUP – Funeral services for Elizabeth Rose Hoskie, 44, were held March 31 at the Rollie Mortuary Chapel in Gallup. Interment followed at the Gallup City Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born Dec. 13, 1972, in Gallup, into the Haltsooi (Meadow People Clan). She died March 25, 2016, in Albuquerque.
Elizabeth is survived by Stacey Rose Hoskie and Stephen Peter Douglass.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother, Regina Rose Hoskie; grandmother, Pearl James Hewy; and great-great-grandmother, Mary Kee James.
Pallbearers were Orlando Chavez, Shuan Chavez, Preston Clark, Travis Sam, James Sam, and John Blackstar.
Rollie Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
