Mary A. Holtsoi
REHOBOTH, N.M. — Funeral services for Mary A. Holtsoi, of Gallup, will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m., at the Rehoboth Sports and Fitness Center in Rehoboth, New Mexico, with Pastor Daniel De Vries officiating. Burial will follow at the Rehoboth cemetery.
Mary was born May 31, 1925, in Bluewater/Thoreau, New Mexico, into the ‘Áshįįhí (Salt People Clan), born for Tł’ógí (Hairy Ones/Weaver-Zia Clan). She passed away Feb. 10, 2024, in Gallup.
Mary enjoyed reading her Bible, praying, crocheting, word search, and attending sporting events.
Mary is survived by her sons, Raymond Holtsoi, Gary Holtsoi, Willie Holtsoi, Darryl Holtsoi, and Jeff Holtsoi; daughters, Sharon Toadlena, Darlene Holtsoi, Gloria James, Donna Owens, Ramona Holtsoi, and Terri Holtsoi; sister, Lou Nez; and 39 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Billie Holtsoi; and daughters, Flo Barton, Katherine Holtsoi and Patricia Holtsoi.
Pallbearers will be Brannon Holtsoi, Derek Tullie, Philip Notah, William Holtsoi, William Damon, and Myrick Sanderson.
A reception will take place at the Rehoboth Fellowship Hall following services at 1 p.m.

Leonard Day Jr.
SANTA FE — Graveside service for Leonard Day Jr., 44, of Hunters Point, Arizona, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 9 a.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Leonard was born Nov. 22, 1979, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, into the Isleta Pueblo, born for Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan). His nalí is Tł’ízí lání (Many Goats); cheii is Naakai dine’é (Mexican). He passed away Feb. 7, 2024, in Hunters Point.
Leonard graduated from Manzano High School in Albuquerque and served in the U.S. Army for 13 years and 4 months. He was a foodie who enjoyed cooking, fishing, biking, and spending time with his children.
Leonard is survived by his sons, Alejandro Day and Michael Day; daughters, Esperanza Day and Isabella Day; parents, Antoinette and Leonard Day Sr.; brother, Dillon Day; and sisters, Rosemary Cook, Rachelle Roberts, Patricia Day, Maria Day, and Melinda Day Wheeler.
Leonard is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dillon and Rose Platero; paternal grandparents, Alice Williams and Charlie Day; and three uncles and two aunts.
Pallbearers will be members of the honor guard.
A potluck reception will take place at the Gallup Lions Club (3330 E. Aztec) following service at 4 p.m.

Craig I. Pinto
CHICHILTAH, N.M. — A memorial service for Craig Isiah Pinto, 37, of Gallup, was held at the family plot in Chichiltah, New Mexico.
Craig was born Dec. 27, 1986, in Gallup, into the Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for Zuni. He passed away Jan. 20, 2024, in Phoenix.
Craig, known as Izayuh to his close friends and family members, was a computer science major at DeVry University and served as a lead IT specialist.
In addition to Craig’s professional pursuits, he indulged in various hobbies such as fishing, watching sports, and playing golf. His unwavering passion for the Eagles was evident, as he proudly identified as a die-hard fan.
Beyond his professional and recreational interests, Craig was a devoted father to his boys. He lived a remarkable life, characterized by his role as the class clown and life of the party. His infectious laughter brought joy to those around him and he cherished every moment.
Known for his amiable personality, Craig effortlessly engaged in conversations and formed positive connections with everyone he encountered. His ability to get along with people from all walks of life was a testament to his genuine and approachable demeanor.
Craig’s impact was widespread, leaving a void that will be deeply felt by the many who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. He will be sincerely missed by all.
Craig is survived by his sons, Noah Pinto and Sky Pratt; nephew, Xavian Micheal Jarrack Nelson; mother, LaWanda Pinto; sisters, Sonja Tom, Lyda Jamon and Jasmin Jamon; and maternal grandfather, Micheal Glynn Pinto.
Craig is preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Gloria Pinto; goddaughter, Shania Singer; aunt, Karen Pinto; and uncle, Daryl Pinto.
Pallbearers were Xavian Nelson, Justin Chee, Myron Crawford, Ernest Crawford, Noah Pinto, and Sky Pratt.
A reception will take place at the Two Wells Activity Hall on Saturday, Feb. 24, at noon.
