Thomas A. Jackson
FORT DEFIANCE – Funeral services for Thomas A. Jackson, 92, of Sanders, Arizona, will be held Friday, Feb. 20, at 10 a.m., at the Good Shepherd Mission in Fort Defiance, with Rev. Leon Sampson officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Defiance.
Thomas was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Keams Canyon, Arizona, into the Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan). He passed away Feb. 15, 2026, in Gallup.
Thomas attended college in Ganado, majoring in business administration, and was employed as a behavioral health director. He enjoyed traveling, watching sports (football, basketball, baseball), and spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by his sons, Ervin Jackson Sr., Melvin Jackson Sr. and Kat Jackson; sisters, Elouise Frank and Helen Williams; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Jackson; son, Jerry Jackson; parents, John Nez-Begay and Louise T. Begay; and brother, Bahe Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Shawwon Jackson, Ervin Jackson Jr., Melvin Jackson Jr., Roland Frank, Adrian J. Luarkie and Kori Valencia.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ervin Jackson Sr., Melvin Jackson Sr., James Allison and Larry Allison.
A reception will take place at the Good Shepard Mission Parrish Hall following services.

Louise Nez Attikai
BLUE GAP, Ariz. – Funeral services for Louise Nez Attikai, 75, of Blue Gap, Arizona, will be held Friday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m., at the Billy Kee Johns Church in Blue Gap. Burial will follow at the family plot in Blue Gap.
Louise was born Sept. 22, 1950, in Blue Gap, into the Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan). She passed away Feb. 14, 2026, in Chinle.
Louise worked at Diné College and Chinle Workforce Development before moving to Tuba City to work for Tuba City Workforce Development. She was devoted to helping others go to school and find work.
Louise is survived by her husband, Cody Attikai; son, Aaron Attikai; daughters, Willette Edwards, Latonna Attikai, Nellie Attakai, and Ariel Attikai; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Louise is preceded in death by her mother, Lily N. Attakai; father, Zhean Attakai; grandson, Warren Attikai; and great-grandchild, Charlie Begay.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Edwards, Brett Begay, Brandon Begay, Bradley Begay and Aaron Attikai.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Attikai and Zhean Eduardo Attikai.
A reception will take place at the Billy Kee Johns Church following services.
