Marilynn Ashliegh Lake
WHITE POST, Ariz. – Funeral services for Marilynn Ashliegh Lake, 9, of White Post, Ariz., were held Nov. 1 at the White Post Covenant Church.
Marilynn was born in 2005 in Flagstaff. She passed away the morning of Oct. 26, 2014, in Flagstaff.
Marilynn was in the 4th grade at Shonto Preparatory School. She was always happy and brought much joy to everyone she came in contact with. Her favorite hobbies were to do arts and crafts and gift her artwork to family and friends. She was involved in her community and will be missed.
Marilynn was also very involved with her church, White Post Covenant Church, and will be missed by the entire congregation.
Marilynn is survived by her mother, Sophia Begishe; brother, Justice Lake; sisters, Nicholette Chesley and Aaliyah Chesley; and grandparents, Mary and Kenneth Begishe.
Marilynn’s father was Franco Lake.
Marilynn’s family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has come to offer their support.

Jack Robert Yazzie
GANADO, Ariz. — Funeral services for Jack Robert Yazzie, 80, of Steamboat, Ariz., were held Nov. 5 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Ganado, Ariz. Interment followed at the Ganado community cemetery.
Jack was born March 10, 1934, in Steamboat, into the Tódich’ii’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Tábaahá (Water’s Edge Clan). He died Oct. 27, 2014, in Chandler, Ariz.
Jack was a machinist and welder. He enjoyed watching movies, herding sheep and sports.
Jack is survived by his sisters, Sally Navajo, Mae Margaret Dick and Elsie Joe; and 36 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, John Sam and Mariam Yazzie; and brothers, Ben Yazzie, John Yazzie and Lee Yazzie.
Tse Bonito Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
