Narbona Pass Classic sees steady flow of runners
FORT DEFIANCE
Race director Dewayne Carl said entries for this Sunday’s 36th annual Narbona Pass Classic has been a steady flow.
“As of today we have 226 entries,” Carl said. “We are on track to have the same number of participants as last year.”
Carl said he expects top local runners, as well as top competitors from outside the area to compete.
“We expect Andy Yazzie to return and defend his title,” he said. “Also, we expect Alvina Begay to defend the women’s title. We are looking forward to seeing all runners who participate in the event every year. These runners train really hard and they run to beat their previous times or to have the confidence that they can conquer the race.”
