A modernistic Sunbeam Tours and Railway “StarCar” was shown for the first time last week at the Navajo Tourism Conference here at the Marriott Conference Center.

There are plenty of ways to honor a veteran this Veterans Day here in the Navajo Nation. Below are a few events happening across the area this year. 

The Navajo Nation Marine Corps Ball Committee Inc. held its Marine Corps birthday ball on Nov. 9 in honor of the U.S. Marine Corps’ 249th birthday.

Discovering the Navajo Times Pumpkin Carving Contest, which began on Oct. 8, inspired Nevaeh Talkalai to enter. Her carving of a ghost and a sheep earned her first place, a testament to her talent and dedication.

At this year’s Bluff Arts Festival, artist Gilmore Scott offered a glimpse into the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Navajo people through his vibrant, contemporary paintings.
