When Sky Young and his family cruise the movie aisle at Wal-Mart, a DVD case will attract his little girl’s attention and she’ll blurt out, “That’s my daddy’s movie!”

It might be slightly more accurate to say, “my daddy’s and 500 other people’s,” but for all intents and purposes, she’s right.

Young, 34, is one of the geniuses behind the screen who make the completely pretend world of computer animation so real you cry when somebody gets killed, even though you know in your heart he’s just a drawing.

Young’s title with Reel FX Studio in Dallas, Tex. is “lighter and compositor.”
