Arizona State University’s Indigenous Arizona State University court recently attended the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples’ The Heartbeat of Culture Gala. The court comprises, from left to right, Mr. Indigenous ASU First Attendant Dayshon Dalgai, Mr. Indigenous ASU Logan Logg, Miss Indigenous ASU Tonana Ben, and Miss Indigenous ASU First Attendant Kaitlyn Yazzie.
WINDOW ROCK
For the first time in Arizona State University history, all four Indigenous ASU titleholders are Diné.
Tonana Ben was crowned the 2025-26 Miss Indigenous ASU on April 12. Joining her are Logan Logg, the Mr. Indigenous ASU; Dayshon Dalgai, the Mr. Indigenous ASU First Attendant; and Kaitlyn Yazzie, the Miss Indigenous ASU First Attendant.
“It was a really exciting moment,” said Ben on Tuesday night. “Especially knowing that no matter who placed, the entire court – both the first attendant and Mr. Indigenous ASU – would be Navajo. That’s the first time that’s ever happened in ASU’s history.”
