Duo hopes to take the mystery out of starting a business on rez
WINDOW ROCK
Developing a business can be confusing, but a few Navajo entrepreneurs are hoping to ease that confusion by developing a business guideline for the Navajo Nation.
Heather Fleming, from Catapult Design, and Byron Shorty, from Navajo Word of the Day, are teaming up on a project that will benefit Navajo business folk.
Fleming is the co-founder and CEO of Catapult Design, a non-profit design firm that researches, designs, and develops human-centered products and services to improve the lives of those who need it most.
Shorty is the founder of Navajo Word of the Day, an online resource that helps people learn how to speak Navajo.
They want to publish a bilingual (English and Navajo) visual guidebook for starting a business on the Navajo Nation.
