As a nation, we need to invest wisely in our children for they are our future leaders of the Navajo Nation.

On behalf of the 23rd Navajo Nation Council, I extend my sincere appreciation to all of the entities and individuals involved in the months and years of hard work that led to the recent approval of $180 million in water projects and sanitation system projects throughout the Navajo Nation.

Today is an historic occasion as we witness the signing of legislation of the Navajo Veterans Administration and the Veterans Advisory Council.

We cannot lose our language. We are only stronger in our culture with our language. We have to preserve our language. Without our language we are nothing, we are no longer the Great Navajo Nation.

As we near the end of 2015, both Vice President Jonathan Nez and I would like to send our heartfelt holiday greetings and appreciation to the staff of our administration, the three branches of government, all of the Navajo Nation Employees and the greater Navajo Nation.
