In the Navajo Times article, “Recount certification likely to take place,” Donovan Quintero explains issues within the voting system from the current 2022 Navajo Nation presidential election.

In 2017, while working with Peabody’s Kayenta Mine, I was involved with a project to provide water to the families within the Kayenta Mine Lease area.

I am a community voter from District 7: Low Mountain Chapter. I have a big concern on our roads that we use daily by us individuals, schools, and tribal, state, and federal officials.

It concerns me that the Navajo Nation and its leadership have not taken a larger step to gain further explanation from Navajo Nation President Nez regarding his excessive purchase of sheep lambs at the recent Navajo Nation Jr. 4H/FFA Livestock Show and Sale.

 am writing this letter to express my disappointment with the Nez Administration for their unwillingness to fight for Navajo jobs and revenue with the closure of the San Juan Generating Station. The lack of a Navajo voice from the Nez Administration is another example of why the Navajo people need new leadership.
