The Navajo Nation Department of Diné Education congratulates all of you for making it to this point in your journey of education.

The Forest Service is required by law to look after the lands it administers for the health and benefit of the land herself as well as for future generations of us five-fingered people. Until recently their commercial tenant, Snowbowl, has been pleased with the arrangement. The rest of us, not so much. But there are signs of big changes ahead.

I’m a long-time voter in Apache County. I’ve had the fortune to serve the Navajo Nation for several years and know the challenges of making sure everyone is heard at the tribal, state, and federal level.

As the ongoing coronavirus pandemic presents new challenges, I encourage everyone to reflect on what we have learned since the start of the pandemic nearly two years ago. We have collected a wealth of preventive knowledge and information about coronavirus; therefore, it is up to us to apply this to our daily routine. Continue to practice these preventive measures daily.
