A To’hajiilee man is now in federal custody in Albuquerque after being arrested on charges of assault in Indian Country resulting in serious bodily harm.

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reports the following activity from April 18 through April 24. On April 20, deputies noticed a yellow Chevy Astro van and a two-tone Dodge Charger. The Charger was driving around the block many times. A search of the van was conducted after a K9 alerted to the vehicle.

On April 22 at about 9 p.m., New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal pedestrian crash that killed Clarice Tsosie, 32, of Albuquerque on U.S. Highway 550.

A Shiprock man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to stabbing his aunt several times and then stealing her pickup to go to Farmington to steal drugs to get high.

A Shiprock man has pleaded guilty in federal district court to killing his drinking buddy after he the two got into an argument.
