A federal judge has agreed to release a Crownpoint man accused of second-degree murder to house arrest pending his trial.

On July 31, the New Mexico State Police discovered 495 packages of marijuana weighing 580 pounds in a semi-trailer at the Port of Entry west of Gallup

Blaine Charles Morgan, 35, of Crownpoint, is facing a federal murder charge in connection with a stabbing that occurred on the Navajo Nation. The FBI and Navajo Nation Criminal Investigations on July 13 arrested Morgan, who was in Navajo custody.
