Church Rock man sentenced to 18 years for sexual abuse

A Navajo Nation Police officer with the Crownpoint District, Michael Peshlakai, was arrested for allegedly disturbing the peace.

Randy Payton, 35, of Church Rock, New Mexico, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in federal district court here on Tuesday.

The Window Rock Police District, along with the FBI, are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early Monday morning.

The Navajo Nation Police is reporting several incidents that have occurred around the Navajo Nation.
