Calif. man charged with abuse of child, indecent exposure

CIBOLA COUNTY – On Oct. 25, at 6:32 p.m., New Mexico State Police officers, from the Gallup District, responded to the Sky City Casino in Acoma, N.M., in regards to a male subject that was swimming in the hotel pool naked along with a small child in his arms, according to a news release from the New Mexico Department of Public Safety.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with Michael Lee, 35, of La Palma, Calif., and his one-year-old daughter.

The child was remanded to the custody of the New Mexico Children Youth and Families Department.

Lee has been charged with abuse of a child; receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle; resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer; and indecent exposure.

Lee was booked into the Cibola County Detention Center on his charges.
