FBI offers $25,000 reward in death of 8-year-old Mollie Boone

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death of 8-year-old Maleeka “Mollie” Boone. Her body was found last week in Coalmine, Arizona, about 18 miles east of Tuba City, according to a reward poster released by federal authorities.
The FBI’s Phoenix Field Office, working jointly with the Navajo Nation Police Department, is seeking information tied to Boone’s death after she was reported missing the evening of Jan. 15, 2026. Authorities said Boone was last seen at about 4:15 p.m. after leaving a family member’s home to return to the residence where she lived. Both homes are in the same neighborhood and close to one another.
Boone was reported missing at about 6 p.m. Her body was discovered the next morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 16 in a field within the Coalmine neighborhood, according to the FBI.
The case has drawn attention across the Navajo Nation and surrounding communities as investigators continue to ask for the public’s help.
