Navajo Police issue alert for missing 8-year-old last seen Thursday near Coalmine
Maleeka “Mollie” Boone, 8, was reported missing Thursday evening and was last seen Jan. 15 in the Coalmine, Ariz., area near the Coalmine Navajo Housing, according to the Navajo Nation Police Department. The Navajo Nation Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating an 8-year-old girl who was reported missing Thursday evening in Western Navajo.
Maleeka “Mollie” Boone was last seen Jan. 15 in the Coalmine, Arizona, area near the Coalmine Navajo Housing, according to the Navajo Police Department. Authorities said she was last observed between 4 and 6 p.m. and has not been seen since.
Coalmine NHA Housing is about 18 miles southeast of Tuba City, along State Highway 264.
Maleeka is described as about 4 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing between 50 and 60 pounds. She has brown eyes and long brown hair that is French-braided on each side, said police. She has a light complexion.
At the time she was last seen, Maleeka was wearing a red jacket, blue jeans and cowboy boots.
The Navajo Police Department confirmed Maleeka Boone has been entered into the National Crime Information Center database as part of the ongoing search.
The case is being handled by the Navajo Police Department’s Tuba City District. Anyone who may have seen Maleeka or who has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.
