GRANTS, N.M. – Since its founding in 1941, the oldest enterprise of the Navajo Nation has weathered many changes, from economic shifts to challenges rooted from the pandemic.
Now, as Navajo Arts and Crafts Enterprise moves forward, its focus remains on supporting local artists, strengthening its operations, and ensuring that Navajo-made art remains at the heart of its mission.
This year, the Navajo Arts and Crafts Enterprise, or NACE, has focused on expanding opportunities for artists, starting with its first art market in February. The event brought together more than 50 vendors, offering a space for them to sell directly to customers.
Unlike other markets, which often charge high booth fees, NACE made affordability a priority, keeping the cost low so more artists could participate.
