Oak Ridge Fire

As the Oak Ridge Fire continues to burn across northeastern Arizona, Navajo Nation communities and nearby towns are stepping up with donation drives, public meetings, and relief efforts to support families displaced by the wildfire.

The fire continued its unrelenting spread has burned 9,846 acres. With zero percent containment reported, officials now hope incoming monsoon rains might slow the wildfire’s advance and bring relief to exhausted crews and displaced residents.

The Oak Ridge Fire has burned 6,292 acres southwest of Window Rock as of June 30 and remains at 0% containment, prompting continued evacuation orders and emergency response operations.

Parts of Oak Springs and Hunters Point communities are now under mandatory evacuation orders as the Oak Ridge Fire continues to grow unchecked. By Sunday evening, the fire had reached more than 1,800 acres and was 0% contained.

A fast-moving wildfire southwest of Window Rock has grown to 1,800 acres, triggering heightened emergency response efforts and alerting nearby communities.
