Police attempt to ID stabbing victim
GALLUP
Gallup city police were trying Tuesday morning to confirm the identity of a male Native American in his late 50s who was stabbed to death on south Second Street in Gallup late Saturday night.
A witness at the scene said she saw two men dressed in black walking away shortly after the man was stabbed.
The man had no personal identification on his body but police had managed to get a tentative identification by late Monday.
