Lillie James

KLAGETOH, Ariz. – Funeral services for Lillie James, 86, of Klagetoh, Arizona, will be held today, April 10, at 10 a.m., at the First Southern Baptist Church in Klagetoh. Burial will follow at the Klagetoh community cemetery.

Lillie James, April 15, 1938 – April 4, 2025

Lillie was born April 15, 1938, in Klagetoh, into the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Naakaii dine’é (Mexican Clan). She passed away April 4, 2025, in Gallup.

Lillie enjoyed weaving and was a rancher who had both sheep and cattle.

Lillie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Norma James; brother, William “Bill” Shorty; and five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Lillie is preceded in death by her husband, Guy James.

Pallbearers will be Don James, Wes James, Travis Francisco, Eric Roanhorse, Alex Raymond, and Darrick James.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Smith, William “Bill” Shorty, Matthew James, Roger Kee, Levi Allen, Donald James, Kendrick Livingston, Reggie James, and Brian James.

A reception will take place at the Klagetoh Chapter House following services.

Green Meadows Funeral Home oversaw arrangements.


Jameson Delgarito

CROWNPOINT – Funeral services for Jameson Delgarito, 58, of Crownpoint, will be held Saturday, April 12, at 10 a.m., at the Daakozhtaa Word of Faith Worship Church in Crownpoint, with Thomas Sandoval officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Lake, New Mexico.

Jameson was born Feb. 9, 1967, in Crownpoint, into the Deeshchii’nii (Start of the Red Streak People Clan), born for Tó baazhní’ázhí (Two Who Came to the Water Clan). He passed away April 3, 2025, in White Point, New Mexico.

Jameson enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and spending time with his wife and children.

Jameson is survived by his wife, Michelda Delgarito; six children; sisters, Mary Ann Livingston and Corrine Norton; and one grandchild.

Jameson is preceded in death by his parents, Flossie and Kee John Garcia; and siblings, Marilyn and Carolyn Delgarito, and James Delgarito.

A reception will take place at the Daakozhtaa Word of Faith Worship Center following services.

Rollie Mortuary oversaw arrangements.
