Aaron E. Logg
KLAGETOH, Ariz. — Graveside service for Aaron Evan Logg, 56, of Klagetoh, Arizona, was held Aug. 18 at the Klagetoh community cemetery.
Aaron was born April 8, 1965, into the Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Mą’ii deeshgiizhinii (Coyote Pass Clan). He passed away Aug. 12, 2021, in Flagstaff.
Aaron graduated from Ganado High School and attended Navajo Community College and Mesa Community College.
Aaron was employed as a carpenter and enjoyed riding horses, bull riding, weight lifting, and mentoring young bull riders.
Aaron is survived by his sons, Tyson Logg, Tyler Logg and Derek Etsitty; daughter, Samantha Logg; brother, Melvin Kellog; sisters, Arlene Logg and Ronalda Logg; and six grandchildren.
Aaron is preceded in death by his mother, Rosalind Peshlakai Logg; father, Ahkii Sage Logg; sisters, Patricia Logg and Roselinda Logg; brother, Jay Logg; and niece, Rochelle Decheeny.
Pallbearers were Tyson Logg, Marco Long, Jay James, Michael Shorty, Gabriel Skeets, and Harvey Tso.
Honorary pallbearers were Derek Etsitty, Tyler Logg, Isaiah Yazzie, Melvin Logg, Kyle Decheeny, Ernie Roan, Marty Logg, Dougin Decheeny, and Calgery Mason.
Silver Creek Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Darrell Spencer
GALLUP — Funeral services for Darrell Spencer, 45, of Red Rock, New Mexico, will be held Friday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m., at the Twin Buttes Church of the Nazarene in Gallup, with Daniel Smiley officiating. Burial will follow at the family plot in Red Rock.
Darrell was born Oct. 7, 1975, in Gallup, into the Haltsooí (Meadow People Clan), born for Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). He passed away Aug. 12, 2021, in Red Rock.
Darrell attended Sun Valley Nazarene, Wingate High School and Gallup High School. He was employed as a buffer at Running Bear Wholesale.
Darrell loved basketball and fast-pitch softball. He enjoyed fishing, watching movies and spending time with family.
Darrell is survived by his son, Darrin Spencer; daughter, Alannah Spencer; father, Larry Spencer; brothers, Clyde Spencer and Vernon Spencer; sisters, Alicia Mendoza, Jennifer Spencer and Corrina Spencer; paternal grandmother, Alice Largo; and two grandchildren.
Darrell is preceded in death by his mother, Esther Spencer; brother, Orlando Spencer; maternal grandparents, Alice and Joe Bowie; and paternal grandfather, John Kee Spencer.
Pallbearers will be Darrin Spencer, Quincy Spencer, Jose Mendoza, Luis Mendoza, Clyde Spencer, and Vernon Spencer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Manson, Joseph Mendoza, Ryan Mendoza, Isaiah Rosetta, Michael White, and Roland Spencer.
A reception will take place at the Gallup Community Center, following services.

Egbert R. Etsitty
GALLUP — Funeral services for Egbert Rufus Etsitty, 46, of Mexican Springs, New Mexico, were held Aug. 17 at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup, with Mark Thomas officiating. Interment followed at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Mexican Springs.
Egbert was born March 23, 1975, in Gallup, into the Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People Clan), born for Bit’ahnii (Under His Cover Clan). He passed away March 10, 2021, in Gallup.
Egbert is survived by his mother, Emma Etsitty; brothers, Adrian Etsitty, Christopher Dixon and Virgil Dixon; and sisters, Yvonne Batchelor, Sharon Pete, Emily Dennis, and Colleen Lomaintewa.
Pallbearers were David Yazzie, Joshua Dennis, Gilbert Shorty Jr., Kendall Mitchell, and Owen Benally.
Honorary pallbearers were Kale Yazzie, Nicholas Lomaintewa and Elijah Ashley.
Rollie Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Ray S. Tachine
WHIPPOORWILL, Ariz. — Graveside service for Ray Shawn Tachine, 25, of Lukachukai, Arizona, was held Aug. 18 at the family plot in Whippoorwill, Arizona.
Ray was born Aug. 7, 1996, in Chinle, into the Tó’aheedlíinii (Water Flow Together Clan), born for Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan).
Ray graduated from SDA Indian School and was employed at McDonald’s for three years. He enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Ray is survived by his parents, Desiree Denny and Virgil Tachine; brothers, Michael X. Tachine, Charles A. Tachine and Ashkii L. Tachine; sister, Kyree M. Tachine; maternal grandparents, Avery and Patricia Denny; and paternal grandparents, Stella B. and Charlie Tsosie.
Pallbearers were Ryan Denny, Shawn Claw, Tomas Valdez, Michael X. Tachine, Charles A. Tachine, and Ashkii L. Tachine.
Honorary pallbearers were Avery Denny, Everett Denny, Donavan Denny, Emery Denny, Howard Leonard Jr., and William Bahe.
