Rochelle Ann Tabaha Trejo
GALLUP — Funeral services for Rochelle Ann Tabaha Trejo, 36, will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. Burial will follow at the Jones Ranch family plot.
Rochelle was born April 1, 1982, in Gallup, into the Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People Clan), born for Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan). She died July 27, 2018, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Rochelle is survived by her husband, Daniel Trejo; daughters, Roshaunda Burns and Thalia Trejo; sons, Romeo Trejo and Abel Trejo; mother, Rose Tabaha; sisters, Sharon Calero and Michelle Ramirez; brother, Derek Charley; and grandfather, Marvin Martine.
Rochelle is preceded in death by her father, Herman Tabaha; and grandmother, Matilda Martine.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Charles T. Singer
INDIAN WELLS, Ariz. — Funeral services for Charles T. Singer, 89, of Indian Wells, Arizona, will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. (MST) at the Broken Arrow Chapel in Indian Wells, with Stanley Jim officiating. Burial will follow at the Bain family plot.
Charles was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Castle Butte, Arizona, into the Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People Clan). He died July 26, 2018, in Flagstaff. Charles completed his education up to the 5th grade in Leupp, Arizona, and in his early 20s, he worked with Santa Fe Railroad Company.
Then Charles and his wife became entrepreneurs in the arts and craft field of silversmithing for 60 years. Their specialty was working with silver, stone, and chip inlay. Charles enjoyed playing his harmonica and reading his Bible. He loved watching western movies, World Wrestling Entertainment (Raw), sports, CNN news, and reading newspapers.
He liked to travel, work on vehicles, and spend time with family when he wasn’t working on silver. Charles is survived by his wife, Lena M. Singer; son, Clifton Singer; daughter, Helen Nez; brothers, William Singer and Jackie Singer; sister, Arlene Yazzie; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Charles is preceded in death by Tsinijinnie Singer, Mary T. Singer, Roy Tsinajinnie, Dent Tsoso, Joe Tsinajinnie, Thomas T. Singer Sr., Nellie Dodge, Ella Tsinijinnie, and Coralee Tsinajinnie. Pallbearers will be Eric Nez, Troy Samm, Steven Yazzie, Eric Long, Derrick Long, and Ermin Samm. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Singer, William Singer, Clifton Singer, Max Chase, Anthony Singer, and Ben Singer.
A reception will take place at the Broken Arrow Chapel following services.
