GALLUP — Graveside service for Genevieve Bitsue, 38, of Twin Lakes, New Mexico, was held Aug. 5 at the Gallup City Cemetery.

Genevieve was born May 30, 1982, in Gallup, into the Tsi’naajinii (Black Streak Wood People Clan), born for Tódích’íi’nii (Bitter Water Clan). She passed away July 26, 2020, in Albuquerque.

Genevieve graduated from Tohatchi High School and received an associate’s degree in office assisting. She enjoyed cooking, collecting jewelry, listening to music, and going to school and studying.

Genevieve is survived by her boyfriend of 15 years, Edwin Gruber; husband, Nathaniel Tsosie; daughters, Genice Tsosie, Nathalia Tsosie and Arianna Gruber; mother, Elsie Sherman Bitsue; father, Lambert H. Bitsue Sr.; brother, Lambert Bitsue Jr.; sisters, Jennifer Bitsue and Tiffany Bitsue; maternal grandparents, Ella and Edward Sherman; and paternal grandparents, Mary and Albert Bitsue.

Pallbearers were Edwin Gruber, Nathaniel Tsosie, Gerald Billie, Joe Hunch, Tyrell Sherman, and Erving Yazzie. Rollie Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

GALLUP — Funeral services for Theodore Watchman, 42, of Coyote Canyon, New Mexico, will be held Friday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Rollie Mortuary Chapel in Gallup, with Aaron Jim officiating. Burial will follow at the family plot in Coyote Canyon.

Theodore was born Feb. 24, 1978, in Fort Defiance, into the Bit’ahnii (Folded Arms Clan), born for Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan). He passed away Aug. 3, 2020, in Brimhall, New Mexico. Theodore attended Tohatchi High School and worked in some construction and mechanics.

He enjoyed music, drawing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Theodore is survived by his daughter, Kaytoinette Ross; brothers, Frederick Jarvison and Christopher Jarvison Sr.; sisters, Carla J. Barney, Tammy J. Barney, Tonyia Watchman, and Theadora Watchman; and grandparents, Marie and Harry Watchman, and Annie Jarvison. Theodore is preceded in death by his parents, Mary J. Watchman and Tommy D. Watchman.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Jarvison Jr., Christian Jarvison, Ivan McKinley, Wilson Johnson, Myles Panteah, and Frederick Jarvison. Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Jarvison Sr.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Lawerance P. Teller

FORT DEFIANCE — Graveside service for Lawerance P. Teller, 44, of Coal Mine Road, New Mexico, was held July 30 at the Fort Defiance cemetery with David Hilderman officiating.

Lawerance was born Feb. 6, 1976, in Fort Defiance, into the Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan), born for Tótsohnii (Big Water Clan). He passed away Feb. 24, 2020, in Coal Mine.

Lawerance graduated from Gallup High School and attended the University of New Mexico-Gallup studying business management. He worked for Oakley Manufacturing in California, Giant (Speedway) and the Fort Defiance Chapter House.

Lawerance enjoyed bowling, golfing, Star Wars, bingo, trips to Las Vegas, and was a football fan of the Washington Red Skins.

Lawerance is preceded in death by his parents, Maggie and Peter Teller; sister, Louise Deschilly; and grandparents, Lillie Joe Yazzie, Dan Hardy, Agnes Teller-Owens, and Askie Teller. Pallbearers were Khesoan Manning, Kendall Henry, Wilbert Manning Jr., JR Williams, and Manuel Hardy.

Honorary pallbearers were B.R. Yazzie, Johnny Deschilly, Mario Deschelly, and Franklin Henry.

Silver Creek Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
